Winnsboro Center for the Arts Hosts Colored Pencil Workshop with Linda Lucas Hardy – The Gilmer Mirror

Winnsboro, TX – Professional colored pencil artist Linda Lucas Hardy will lead a masterclass titled Bright and Lustrous Colored Pencil on Film Drawing from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 23-24 at the Winnsboro Center for the Arts ( WCA) at 212 Market St. Winnsboro, Texas. Students will learn how to create stunning colored pencil drawings on film drawing.

Hardy is well known for creating brilliant colored pencil paintings that radiate light, color and emotion in a way that speaks to the heart. A twenty-year veteran of teaching and workshop teaching, Hardy has taught workshops and classes to thousands of students ages 8 to 88 in 15 states and two countries. Whatever their experience, students will be delighted to learn that there is another dimension to the ever-popular colored pencil when it comes to life on this delicate, translucent surface.

Hardy has been published in two dozen magazines and sixteen books. Her work has been judged in over 80 national and international exhibitions and she has won an equal number of awards and accolades, including several being Best in Show. She is a recipient of the Colored Pencil Society of America’s Fifteen Year Achievement Award, Past President of CPHA 215, Dallas/Ft. Worth District Chapter and Past President of CPSA 222, the Texarkana Chapter of the Colored Pencil Society of America. Hardy is a Flagship Member of the National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society, Flagship Member of the Irving Art Association, and a Fellow of the Mt. Pleasant Texas Art Society for over 30 years.
