SOLON, Ohio — The North Coast Wine Club will host a free winemaking workshop for beginners on Saturday, January 22.
The workshop – which runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – aims to provide insight into the process and introduce people to the art of winemaking. By the end of the workshop, attendees will understand a bit of the history, grape varieties, viticulture, sanitation and equipment, as well as details of the crushing, fermentation stages and sensory application.
The club was created 11 years ago. Members collectively buy and ship grapes from around the world. It also has a dedicated tasting room with limited hours on Thursdays. The club has won awards at several wine competitions and runs monthly programs.
New members are welcome. To register for the workshop, email [email protected]
The club is at 30700 Bainbridge Road, Solon.
