Workshop course

UPDATE: Savi’s Workshop is now offering a discount on Lightsabers following guest complaints about switching to plastic bags for carrying cases

As recently as yesterday, Savi’s workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge stopped handing out the black lightsaber cases with purchases due to “supply chain issues.” This carrying case is listed as one of the parts included with the purchase of the $ 219.99 Custom Lightsaber that guests can build in the Workshop. When customers requested a replacement or some sort of return for the downgrade, they were told that a plastic bag was an acceptable replacement and that is what they were given to carry their expensive collector’s item.

Today, in what has become the typical Disney World course of action over the past few years, management once again responded to the shame of the public on social media and began offering a discount on the experience. , without sheaths. Guests now get a 10% discount of around $ 22 per cast member we spoke to today at Savi.

The usually supplied carrying case (seen above in our 2019 review) is in black fabric with a removable shoulder strap. The interior of the bag is partially lined with molded foam to protect the blade.
