University of Israel and USEFP organize Faculty Development Workshop – Pakistan

HYDERABAD: The University of Israel organized a one-day faculty development workshop in collaboration with the United States Education Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP). The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of Sindh University of Agriculture (SAU), Tando Jam Prof Dr Fateh Marri.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor mentioned that such events are worthwhile for the development of the faculty and for the community. The main topics of the workshop were research methodology, writing research papers, curriculum and local industry needs, and the basics of curriculum development. The faculty took a great interest in the workshop.

The SAU appreciated the University of Isra for organizing such a worthy workshop. Further, the Program Director, Prof. Qamaruddin Mahar thanked the VC and all the participants and said that University of Isra will support such kind of workshops in future in 07 universities in Sindh. In addition, Prof. Dr. Nazir Ashraf Laghari, Vice Chancellor of Isra University Hyderabad, wants to strengthen inter-university coordination to promote knowledge.

Additionally, distinguished professors from the SAU were present at the event, including Prof. Dr. Aijaz Ali Khooharo, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Social Sciences. Prof Dr Altaf Siyal, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Director of ORIC, Prof Dr Mir Sajjad Talpur, Director of the Computing Center, and Associate Professor Dr Hakimzadi Wagan. The successful event was managed by Ms. KinzaYousfani Deputy Director, Ms. Syeda Hadia Kiran, Coordinator of Sindh Regional Universities Capacity Building Project.
