Amritsar: A one-day workshop on “Coral Pulling Tools and Techniques” was organized by PG’s Mass Communication and Video Production Department, DAV College. The resource person for this workshop was Professor Rajinder Singh Minhas from the IT department. He educated journalism and multimedia students on how Corel Draw works. Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Principal of the college said that DAV College organizes various short term courses and workshops from time to time to ensure that the skill development work is done successfully among the students. He said that one who is always ready to learn, he is rich in self-confidence. Because this new technology is the best for career and employment. Professor Rajinder Minhas said that Corel Draw is a powerful graphic design software tool, which is widely used in creative projects.

Vocational Guidance Seminar

A career guidance seminar was held at the Khalsa College of Law. Karan Deep Roy, IDP Education Senior Branch Manager, was the resource person for the seminar. Dr. Jaspal Singh, principal of the college, gave detailed information on the advice provided by IDP to students after IELTS and the purpose of the seminar. University of London Law, International Recruitment, Manager Shweta, was also one of the speakers at the seminar. She talked about the various law courses offered by the university for students on the possibility of pursuing higher education in London and then practicing. She also shared information about fees and scholarships for courses offered by the university. On this occasion, Aanchal Sachdeva from the IDP answered the questions posed by the students.

Student Receives Betian Da Sanman Award

Khalsa College Girls Senior Secondary School Class VIII student Deepika Sandhu under the Khalsa College Board of Trustees has brought laurels to the school and her parents by achieving 95% grades in the level exam primary and 94% in the middle class exam. For her academic achievements, the Principal of the Puneet Kaur Nagpal School, while congratulating the student, said that the said promising young girl also got first and second position in the speech contest for the past three years. She said that in the competition organized by the Guru Ramdas Avtar Parv committee dedicated to Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Ramdas, she won first place in poetry recitation and also won the Betiyan Da Sanman award.
