Tobacco Tax Workshop at University of Himachal Pradesh : The Tribune India

A one-day consultation workshop on “Tobacco Tax: Youth Issues and Concerns” was organized by Department of Economics, University of Himachal Pradesh (HPU) in collaboration with NADA India Foundation on the university campus. Tax officials, economists, voluntary organizations, university professors and students participated in the workshop and discussed tobacco-related economics and tobacco-related topics. Sunil Vatsyan, organizer of NADA India, said the workshop aimed to bring together tax officials, intellectuals, economists and young people to discuss various aspects of tobacco consumption in the state.

Academics welcome government decision

The research committee of Himachal Pradesh has welcomed the decision of the state government to donate an amount of Rs 3,000 rupees per month to university researchers. The program will benefit more than 2,000 researchers from Nauni Horticulture and Forestry University, HP Agriculture University Palampur, University of Himachal Pradesh Shimla and Medical University and Ner Chowk’s Atal research.

CM makes false promises: NSUI

The NSUI called Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur’s statement regarding the holding of the Central Student Association elections an empty promise. NSUI State Unit Chairman Chhatar Singh said the BJP promised in the last election manifesto to hold student body elections but failed to hold the election. same thing for the last five years. He added that the BJP was not convinced that the ABVP would win the student body election, therefore, they were not organised.
