NASHVILLE – Tennessee Craft announces its 2022 professional development workshop, “Unmute Yourself: Connecting Through Art”, which is sponsored by Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts and will be held via the Zoom webinar, Saturday January 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 00 CST.

As a Chicano artist, keynote speaker Richard Lou explored cohesive themes of subjugation in his community. Lou has over 25 years of teaching experience in higher education, over 20 years experience in arts administration, has curated / curated over 50 exhibitions and continues to produce and exhibit art while teaching and chairing the art department at the University of Memphis.
After the speech, attendees will join breakout sessions based on their interests, covering topics such as building your online presence, finding your audience, building collaborations, negotiations and promoting galleries, social media and marketing, among others.
The workshop will end with a dance performance from the Global Education Center. After the workshop, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST, State Chapters will be hosting meetings at local facilities so workshop participants can come together and socialize! Participants will receive information on the meeting planned in their region the week before the workshop, as well as the Zoom invitation. We all live unique lives and have unique stories to tell.
