Six-week workshop to help the people of Saanich adapt their climate action efforts

Sustainable transport options, living at a minimum among topics to be discussed by experts

Saanich District offers online climate action workshops to help residents learn how to take action in their own lives and in their community.

Expert guests will share their knowledge every Tuesday evening from January 25 on how to reduce one’s personal impact on the climate.

Topics for discussion over the six weeks will include sustainable transportation options, climate-friendly home renovations involving heat pumps, leaner ways of living and emergency preparedness.

Local tips and resources will also be offered to help people get involved in reducing climate impact with their purchasing choices for things such as food, clothing and other consumer goods.

The online workshop will take place online via Microsoft Teams every Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. from January 25 to March 1.
