JAMMU: A workshop on the basic newborn care and resuscitation program was held today at the government hospital Sarwal Jammu.
The workshop was organized by IAP J&K State Branch in collaboration with staff from the Pediatrics Department including Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Senior Consultant Pediatrician; Dr. Pooja Kawte, Consultant Pediatrician and Dr. Sachit Sharma, Consultant Pediatrician Government Hospital Sarwal Jammu.
Dr. Vijay Raina, Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital Sarwal opened the workshop and spoke about the importance of resuscitation in basic newborn care.
The Workshop brought together all the Doctors of the Hospital and 16 Doctors and Paramedical Staff were trained in basic neonatal resuscitation. The training was delivered to the participants by Instructors from IAP Jammu State, Dr. Sanjeev Digra, Professor in Department of Pediatrics, SMGS Hospital and Dr. Ajay Choudhary, Consultant Pediatrician, SMGS Hospital.
Dr. Pooja Kawte, Consultant Pediatrician, Sarwal Jammu Government Hospital was the course coordinator of the workshop.
