Monotype printing workshop

On Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., professional artist and educator Bill Hosterman will host a one-design print workshop coinciding with Artlink’s 42nd National Print Show. The workshop will be held in the Visual Arts Building at Purdue Fort Wayne, Room 217.

Tickets are $130 per person, which includes supplies, instructions, and time/opportunity to produce your own prints during the workshop. Tickets can be purchased on our website, artlinkfw.org under “workshops”.

Prior to the workshop, Bill Hosterman will give a free public lecture from 9:00-10:00 am just down the hall in room #204 of the Purdue Fort Wayne Visual Arts Building.

Description of the workshop
Monotype is a combination of printmaking and painting and allows for a range of exciting creative possibilities. During the workshop, participants will be introduced to several methods ranging from the use of watercolors to black and white and the color of oil-based materials. Everyone will have time and support to create works with a variety of monotype techniques, and everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas, but also allow for spontaneity. Prior engraving experience is not required. Everyone is welcome!

This workshop is in collaboration with the art and design department of Purdue Fort Wayne.
