The organization of the workshop is part of the MoL’s support to entrepreneurs, introducing them to the most important steps and procedures related to business projects in Qatar, providing them with the opportunity to communicate directly with them and educating on the regulations and rules governing work in order to achieve the interests of entrepreneurs and project promoters in the country while guaranteeing the rights and protection of workers.
MoL participants included Labor Relations Department Director Abdulla Mubarak al-Dosari, Labor Recruitment Department Director Nasser Abdulla al-Mannai, External Relations Manager Fawwaz Mohamed al-Rais and Mohamed Saeed al-Azba, head of the salary protection section. , as well as other officials and section heads.

The officials briefed the attendants on the various related services of the Ministry of Labor and how to access them easily, including through the ministry’s online platform or through the various service centers across the country. As a result, officials engaged in an open discussion with company representatives to answer their questions and respond to their suggestions and related issues they face in their day-to-day dealings.
Officials emphasized that all relevant officials at the MoL are keen to maintain active and open communication with employers and leaders of the various expatriate communities to raise awareness on related topics and encourage openness on resolution. issues that might normally arise between the worker and the employer through negotiations to avoid escalation without prejudice to the rights of any party to the contract.
However, in the event of any unresolved disputes, issues or difficulties facing either the worker or the employer or both, the officials affirmed that the MoL would always be available and readily accessible to resolve such issues in accordance with the laws. applicable in the country.
Finally, the representatives of the departments of the Ministry of Labor reviewed the most important tasks carried out by the ministry, such as the organization of the working environment and the achievement of a balance between employers and workers, the facilities offered to contractors and the rules to be observed in order to guarantee the progress of works and to benefit from e-services via the website, which constitute a major step forward in facilitating the transactions offered to employers and contractors.
The workshop covered many topics, including work procedures, wage protection system, and the most important requirements and procedures required to perform work-related activities, among others. The business representatives and business owners who attended appreciated the initiative of the MoL, pointing out that such meetings are very helpful in improving the business and working environment in Qatar and would open up more areas for them to cooperate with. the Ministry.
