Mangaluru, July 20: A Workshop on Advanced Chemistry for a Better Future was held at Srinivas University – Institute of Engineering and Technology.
This program was sponsored by Karnataka Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka. The program has also collaborated with the Association of DK Chemistry Lecturers and the Association of DK School Principals. This event took place on July 18 at Srinivas Engineering College Campus, Mukka.
The program was inaugurated by Prof. Jayanna – DDPU from Dakshina Kannada. the main guests were Prof. Gangadhar Alva, Chairman of DK Main Association and Prof. Jayananda Suvarna – Chairman of DK Chemistry Lecturer Association. Professional Vice Chancellor Dr. Satya Sai Kumar chaired the program, Dr. Anil Kumar – Registrar and Dr. Thomas Pinto – Dean of Engineering College and Dr. Praveen BM Program Organizer were featured in the program.
DK Chemistry Lecturers’ Association praised Prof. Jayanna for achieving 88% in PU and the highest percentage in all of Karnataka. Professor Jayanna highlighted the current requirement of Chemistry for society and the Chemistry curriculum for PU students. He insisted on obtaining good results in the next exams.
Dr. Satya Sai Kumar – pro VC highlighted the chemistry activities in the world. Dr. Thomas Pinto informed about the various courses available at Srinivas Engineering College. Dr. Anil Kumar thanked the organizers for organizing this event at Srinivas University.
Prof. Jayanand Suvarna and Prof. Gangadhar Alva were present at the program. The Association of Chemistry Teachers DK congratulated around 40 BPL students who achieved 100 points in the latest PU exams. The association also congratulated 40 teachers who performed well in the last exam. Dr. Praveen BM hosted the gathering.
Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde cast a vote of thanks and Prof. Rohan was the MC and Madhavi Acharya prayed the song. Dr. Satya Sai Kumar Pro VC delivered the keynote speech for the program.
In the afternoon, two sessions were conducted on practical experience in the PU program by Prof. Santosh Kumar and Prof. Vani.
