Maintenance Workshop – Greater Greater Washington

The Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) is proud to partner with expert bike mechanics and Women & Bicycles members, Laurie Lemieux and Kate Schrock, for a workshop on bike maintenance. The conversation will be for people who might be new to bikes and interested in learning more about basic bike maintenance. Some of the topics we’ll cover include looking at different parts of the bike, how to adjust your brakes, and how to clean your chain and apply chain lube.

This is a hybrid event where participants can register to participate in person (at Proteus Bicycles) or virtually via Zoom.

In response to the ongoing covid pandemic, masks are mandatory and we are limiting seating to 15 for in-person attendance. Laurie and Kate will not provide hands-on maintenance of participants’ bikes. Please use the table below to register for a ticket in person.

This event is part of WABA’s Women & Bicycles program and is only open to those who identify as female/trans/female/non-binary. If that’s not you, we have plenty of other events to check out at waba.org/fun. Do you know someone who should come? Thank you for sharing this event with them!
