Hyundai Motor Holds Global Electric Vehicle Maintenance Workshop “EV Tech Lab”

SEOUL, July 8, 2022 – Hyundai Motor Company today announced that it is holding an ‘EV Tech Lab’, a global workshop specializing in electric vehicle (EV) servicing, to enhance its professional capabilities in the EV era.

The workshop was designed to help build Hyundai Motor into a leading electric vehicle company by placing global electric vehicle servicing professionals through theoretical and hands-on training. The training focused on repairing electric vehicles, with courses focusing on typical maintenance cases and high-level repairs.

Hyundai Motor held the workshop from June 28 to July 6, attended by 25 key EV maintenance professionals from Europe, the United States and Asia. Outstanding service experts at Hyundai Motor, including skilled mechanics from Korea, led the training.

The workshop’s interactive courses included “EV Tech Training” based on actual field cases and shared regional repair cases, “EV Tech Study” on quality-related cases, and lectures on EV trends , and “EV Tech Experience” with field trips to sites including Hyundai Motor’s Ulsan plant, Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang, Genesis Suji and specialized electric vehicle service bases such as Hyundai EV Station Gangdong .

As more consumers choose electric vehicles, the importance of routine maintenance services and infrastructure is expected to increase. Hyundai Motor is focused on continuing to train maintenance experts.
