Free Health Savings Workshop Offered to Long Valley Residents

LONG VALLEY, NJ — For those who are new to Medicare or want to learn more about it, the Washington Township Recreation Department is hosting a free Medicare workshop.

Qualified benefit specialists will be on hand to answer your questions and discuss the decisions you need to make, such as the basics of Medicare coverage, private health and drug coverage options, and public benefits that can help cover health care costs.

The program will take place on July 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington Twp. Senior Center, 35 East Springtown Road, Long Valley.

Lisa Pino, MIPPA Coordinator/SHIP Advisor from Norwescap, Inc., will lead the workshop. Take this opportunity to learn about general updates, Medicare fraud, abuse, and scams, and available Medicare bill assistance.

Norwescap is a New Jersey-based organization whose mission is to strengthen communities by creating opportunities that improve the lives of low-income individuals and families. “Our vision is to help create a community that turns poverty into opportunity,” said Norwescap.

Registration is mandatory before July 13, 2022. Participants are requested to complete the registration form as well as the Covid-19 acknowledgment form.

“As you enjoy a free light snack in a bag, you will witness the presentation that is very useful not only for Medicare beneficiaries, but also for caregivers,” said Washington Township Recreation.

The workshop is designed to explain and clarify the Medicare enrollment process and educate participants on how to make smart choices.
