ENDICOTT (WBNG) — The Village of Endicott has been selected by the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council to receive a $10 million New York State award through the Downtown Revitalization Initiative. city (DRI).
The approximately seven-month DRI planning process is guided by a Local Planning Committee (LPC) comprised of representatives from local government, community organizations, local businesses and local residents.
The DRI investment will allow Endicott to develop a strategic investment plan and implement key catalyst projects that advance its vision for downtown revitalization.
Projects selected for DRI funding will transform downtown and support a vibrant local economy.
The meetings are working sessions for the PLC, but they are open to the public. LPC meetings for the Endicott DRI are being held remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The next LPC meeting will be on March 8, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the LPC will continue to meet regularly until the plan is complete in July 2022.
