DA Hosts Asset and Cost of Livestock Workshop in Angeles City

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Central Luzon Department of Agriculture – Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division held a workshop on updating the cost structure of Central Provincial Priority Commodities of Luzon on August 3 in Angeles City.

The three-day workshop aims to discuss trade flows, costs and prices of chicken, pork and various types of high-value crops that are priorities for each Central Luzon province.

The event was attended by Regional Technical Director of Operations and Agribusiness Extension and Marketing, Dr. Eduardo Lapuz Jr. with Supervising Agronomist Maricel Dullas, Market Specialist III Charito Libut, l Agronomist II Jinky Ciriaco and the provincial coordinators of agro-industry, livestock and high-value products. Lapuz revealed how important and timely this workshop is given the steady rise in commodity prices in the region.

The activity also aimed to encourage people to work together to have an adequate supply of food.

Some of the topics discussed during the workshop included the cost structure of chicken, the cost structure of pork, the cost structure of eggplant and tomato, the cost structure of ampalaya, squash , chilli and the cost structure of mango and onion.
