CUK organizes a workshop on “Business Analytics and AI”

Ganderbal, December 29: The Department of Management Studies (DMS) of Central University of Kashmir (CUK), in collaboration with NIIT, organized a workshop on “Business Analysis and AI” at the university’s green campus here, for MBA students on Wednesday.

The workshop was chaired by Mr. Mohammad Anzar Draboo (Assistant Director, Business Analytics at Pearson), which was attended by faculty members and students.

Welcoming guests and participants, Prof. Abdul Gani stressed the importance of the workshop, stressing the importance of analysis in decision making. He advised students to be more tech savvy, as analytical skills are essential to stay competitive in the changing business landscape. He informed the attendees that the department already offers business analysis in the MBA and assured to include specialist courses such as human resource analysis, marketing analysis and financial analysis in the future.

Mohammad Anzar Draboo spoke at length about the scope of business analysis and current business needs. He focused on business analysis based on data visualization and discussed the role of analytics in various spheres of business activity. The workshop was a hands-on training for students on Tableau. The students were also trained on how analysis can be implemented in sound decision making.

Ms. Mir Insha Farooq, Assistant Professor, welcomed the guests and gave details of her work profile. Mr. Rayees Ahmad, Territory Trade Manager, NIIT, concluded the session by raising awareness of the importance of such workshops and encouraging students to train according to industry requirements. Mr. Rahul Rangotra, Assistant Professor proposed a vote of thanks.
