CMCA offers free visual journaling workshop for high school students – Knox County VillageSoup

ROCKLAND – High school students are invited to explore visual journaling techniques in a free workshop led by Arts @ Work mentor Alexis Iammarino at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, 21 Winter St., Friday, December 17, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Participants will regularly exchange ideas on how to create a journal or sketchbook and how this creative habit can support personal projects. This is a great workshop to take before the winter break to kick off some dream, intrigue, and creative projects for the New Year. All materials are provided.

The CMCA offers free monthly workshops and studio demonstrations for high school students on the third Friday of each month in its ArtLab from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. This series is part of the CMCA’s Arts @ Work program, a free mentoring program connecting high school students across the Midcoast Region with artistic leadership, career development, volunteer opportunities and studio practice.

Arts @ Work is supported by the Nellie L. Taft Foundation and the Camden National Bank.
