3-Day Workshop on “Moving Filmmaking” Begins at CUJ – Jammu Kashmir Latest News | Tourism

SAMBA, April 11: A three-day workshop on “Moving Filmmaking”, organized by the Department of Mass Communication and New Media (MCNM), Central University of Jammu (CUJ), started today on the university campus.
Ritesh Taksande of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune, a well-known filmmaker, educator, editor, director, program director, was the resource person for the workshop.
He gave a presentation on the filmmaking process in which he talked about the strategy and development of the filmmaking process, pre-production, production, post-production and of delivery. He explained the basic structure of the 3 (story, stability and sound) in the movies and also explained to the participants how to get their hands on the different gadgets needed for making movies.
The Head of Department (HoD) MCNM, Professor Baccha Babu delivered the welcoming remarks while the Dean of the School of Knowledge Management and Media Studies, Professor Devanand delivered the Presidential remarks. CUJ Registrar Dr. Yashwant Singh was also on stage.
In the second session, a quiz was organized on the making of the film and the delivery of the dialogue. The workshop will continue from tomorrow morning from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
