The Department of Mathematics, GITAM-Hyderabad is going to organize a three-day workshop on ‘Fluid Physics: Methods and Applications’ (Part-III) at its campus from June 28-30, 2022. Prof K Maruthi Prasad and Dr Motahar Reza, informed the organizers of this workshop in a press release on Thursday.
The main objective of the workshop is to introduce participants to the basic aspects of fluid dynamics modelling, analytical and numerical work such as the homotopy perturbation method (HPM), FDM, FVM and methods spectral equations to solve the nonlinear differential equations that appear in fluid flow. problems. Practical tutorials on numerical techniques with Mathematica and/or Matlab are included in this workshop.
Major topics such as modeling aspects of fluid transport in various systems, physics of interface conditions, boundary layer theory and similarity solutions, raindrop microphysics, semi-analytical methods, finite difference and finite volume methods and spectral methods would be covered in this workshop. .
Resource persons such as Prof. GP Raja Sekhar, Department of Mathematics, IIT Kharagpur, Prof. Kirti Chandra Sahu, Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Hyderabad and other expert lecturers will attend this three-day workshop. This is intended for academics, researchers and masters level students working in the field of fluid dynamics.
The deadline for registration is June 25, 2022.
